Men Mihail Aleksandrovich
Born on November 12, 1960 in the village of Semkhoz of Sergiev Posad (Zagorsk) district of the Moscow region.
1978–1982 — graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Culture (degree in Directing), the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation (degree in Jurisprudence) and Gubkin State Oil and Gas Academy — professional retraining program “Economics and management in the oil and gas industry”.
1980–1982 — service in the armed forces (Pacific Fleet Dalvoenmorstroy units in Vladivostok, Primorsky Krai and Sovetskaya Gavan, Khabarovsk Krai). During the service, acquired specialization as “Tower crane operator”. Received award for excellence in military construction.
1983–1990 — worked in the cultural institutions of Moscow and Moscow region.
1990–1993 — engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
1993–1995 — Deputy of the Moscow Regional Duma from the Sergiev Posad district of the Moscow Region, member of the Committee on Local Government.
1996–1999 — Deputy of the State Duma of the second convocation, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Culture.
1999–2002 — Vice-governor of the Moscow Region, First Deputy Chairman of the Government of Moscow Region.
2002–2005 — Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government.
2005–2013 — Governor of the Ivanovo Region.
2013–2018 — Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation.
On June 20, 2018, on the proposal of the President of Russia, he was appointed to the position of Auditor of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation by the Federation Council.
PhD in Philosophy. Honorary Professor of the Moscow Architectural Institute.
Married, has six children.
